At the Institute of Indigenous Wellbeing and Sport we like to form strong relationships with the community in which we work. We organise NAIDOC week events in the City of Kwinana, and contribute to Sorry Day events, and Reconciliation Week.
We also like to attend community carnivals, contribute to Youth Events, assist with cooking BBQ’s at Family Day’s or helping services that require a cultural component such as Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremonies, dancers or if you need Elders to attend or provide advice.
We regularly support the City of Kwinana NAIDOC celebrations including the City of Kwinana NAIDOC Opening Ceremony, Alcoa Little Peeps Roller Disco and the Noongar Boodjar NAIDOC Football Game. We have also supported the Kwinana Aboriginal Community Sorry Day Event, City of Kwinana Harmony Week, Alcoa NAIDOC Celebrations, and the Medina Aboriginal Cultural Centre Family Day.
